CORE GUIDELINES

BOOKING CLASSES

Download our free ‘The Movement Core’ app for iPhone or Android. You can use the app to purchase classes, sign up for a membership, book, cancel and reschedule classes, view your account, and more. You can also do this on our website.

IT’S MY FIRST TIME!

Come 10 minutes before class so we can meet you, show you around, and set you up. Our instructors will support you throughout the class and give you options. We invite you to make your own movement choices.

WHAT TO BRING

Please bring grip socks (required for all classes), a water bottle and a towel. Grip socks can be purchased at the studio for $20 (they ensure your safety, are super cute, and last a long while!)

STUDIO FACILITIES

Our studio provides change rooms, cubbies for belongings, and a bathroom with a shower.

WAITLISTS

If a class you want is full, sign up for the waitlist. If/when a place becomes available you’ll get either an email or text from us offering you a place in the class. If you don’t respond we assume you’re coming, if you can’t make it let us know by responding N to the text or email.

If you’re added to class within the 10-hour cancellation period, and can no longer make it, you will not be charged the late cancellation fee. Please remove yourself from the waitlist if you can no longer make it, so the spot can be offered to the next person.

PREGNANCY

If your pregnancy is uncomplicated and you feel good and well enough to exercise, you can join most of our classes throughout your pregnancy. Always listen to professional health advice, and speak with us prior to attending class. Our highly skilled instructors understand the guidelines around exercise during pregnancy and can offer options and alternatives to accommodate you. YOU + YOUR BODY

Please tell your instructor before class if there is something we need to know about you and/or your body. We will take note of it in our system and we will offer appropriate options during class. Let us know how you’re feeling on the day and if any doctors or specialists have given you specific advice. We respect your privacy.

MEMBERSHIP HOLDS + SUSPENSIONS

Core Membership holds are unlimited, within reason. Suspensions can be made for a minimum of 1 week. Email hello@themovementcore.com.au with at least 5 days’ notice.

MEMBERSHIP CANCELLATIONS

After the initial sign-up period (4 weeks), Core Memberships can be cancelled anytime from the following cycle. Email hello@themovementcore.com.au with at least 7 days’ notice.

ARRIVE EARLY | NO LATE COMERS PLEASE

Please arrive 5-10 minutes before class.

The door is locked at class start time, latecomers will be unable to join as they disrupt the experience for other members. In addition, participating in the warm-up at the start of the class prepares you for the session, we want you to work out safely and effectively.

If you’re late you forfeit the class and are considered a No Show. Spare spots at the start of class will be given to our waitlisted members or walk-ins.

CLASS CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations made more than 10 hours before class will get the session back. Late Cancellations made less than 10 hours before class starts will forfeit the session. No-Shows will forfeit the session. Being late is considered a No-Show. (Sometimes we make mistakes, yes, we are human! Email us if we forgot to mark you off, oops!)

UNLIMITED CORE MEMBERSHIP CLASS CANCELLATIONS

No Shows will incur a $20 fee. Late Cancels will incur a $10 fee.
Late Cancels within 60 mins before class are considered a No Show and charged like one.
1x fee waived per calendar month.
Fees are charged to the membership payment method on file 48 hours after. (Sometimes we make mistakes, yes, we are human! Email us if we forgot to mark you off, oops!)

CODE OF CONDUCT

In dealing with The Movement Core you agree to the following code of conduct:

We are an inclusive and conscious community for all people. Every community member has the right to feel safe and respected. We do not tolerate oppressive behaviour or discrimination of any kind. Any persons who act in defiance of this code will be asked to leave the studio, their sessions refunded and their account terminated.

RETURN + REFUND POLICY

Refunds for change of mind, unused or expired sessions, studio closure due to lockdown, or any circumstance unforeseen by or external to the business will not be granted, in line with Consumer Affairs NSW policy.

(Suspensions and extensions will be granted accordingly where appropriate).

All community members must have their own accounts (for safety and insurance purposes).
