I’m new… What class should I start with?

Firstly, welcome to TMC! There are no prerequisites to take our classes, so we invite you to try any class on our timetable. Our instructors will offer options throughout each class and will chat with you beforehand, so you can feel comfortable regardless of where you are in your movement journey.

How do I book into classes?

We use the Momence booking system for all account management, purchases and bookings. You can follow the prompts and book classes via our website (you’re here, so give it a go!) or download our free ‘The Movement Core’ app.

How many classes should I do per week?

We believe that any movement is good movement (so long as it’s safe of course!) And everybody is different, with varying schedules, demands and requirements. So, we encourage you to do class as often as feels good for you.

If you’re at the start of your movement journey, 2-3 classes are always a great place to start.

Once you feel the magical effects of movement, and fall in love with the classes we have, then you can build your practice up to 5-6 classes per week.

Is there a minimum age to attend class?

Due to insurance, our minimum age is 14 years.

If you are 14 to 17 years of age, a parent or legal guardian will need to:

✦ Consent and sign the relevant client agreements
✦ Accompany you to the Studio on each visit if you are 14-17
✦ Accept responsibility to ensure you comply with the T&Cs of the studio
✦ Agree to rectify any breaches of your agreement

How do I prepare for my first class?

Wear attire that you are comfortable moving it.
Bring grip socks (for safety & hygiene), we sell these at the studio.
BYO water bottle and towel.
We have change rooms and a bathroom with 1 shower.
Please arrive 10 mins before class starts.

Can I come to class when I’m pregnant?

If you’ve been cleared to exercise by your medical professional, you are welcome to join our classes. For up to 20 weeks you can attend any of our classes, after this, check in with us and we can recommend what classes are suitable. Our highly skilled instructors understand the guidelines around exercise during pregnancy and can offer options and alternatives to accommodate you. I’m not feeling 100% / have an injury etc…
What should I do?

If you have any cold or flu symptoms or aren’t feeling well enough to exercise, please listen to your body and stay at home until you’re well. If you have any injuries please get clearance from your medical professional before attending class. Notify us if there’s something we need to be aware of.

If you have something else going on, like pregnancy or are postnatal, ensure you get clearance to exercise and notify us, so that we can offer any appropriate modifications and variations.
